Hello. I’m Carol Renfro, and I am the administrator here at Country Place Senior Living of Livingston.

My role model was my mother. She began working as a nursing assistant in a convalescent home when I was 5 years old. As a single mother, she took me to work with her every day and I followed along behind her as she cared for her residents. She truly loved her residents and gave them the best possible care, going above and beyond her normal job duties. She later became a medication aide and worked for the same facility for over 30 years, until she could no longer work due to her health declining. I cared for my mother when she was unable to care for herself any longer. She suffered with COPD, diabetes, multiple strokes and dementia. As her sole caregiver, I researched as much as I could in order to understand the issues she was experiencing, therefore I could give her the best possible care.

When she passed away, my heart was broken, and I found that caring for others helped to fill the void that was left in my life. I volunteered at local nursing homes, mostly singing or reading to them. I later received my CNA license and moved from working at a nursing home to working with memory care residents. Soon, I was promoted to Activities Director. When Country Place built this beautiful facility, I was blessed to be chosen as their Activities Director, and now with this promotion, their Administrator. I love working with this smaller community as it allows me to connect to each of the residents in a more personal manner. The residents and staff at Country Place are family, and I will take care of them as if they were my own mother.

My goal for our community is to make everyone who lives here feel as though they are family. I take pride in building relationships with residents and their family members. Being able to create an environment that is comfortable, relaxed, fun and safe for all who live here. They deserve to be respected and spoiled and I do everything in my power to make sure this is accomplished. My door is always open, and I will always greet everyone with a smile. It is an honor to help our families make significant decisions about their loved ones and to give the families peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being taken care of with dignity and respect.

My husband is a preacher at a little country church here in town and I am the music director, secretary and youth group director. My interests are animal rescue, singing, gardening, party planning, cooking, crafting, antique shopping, caring for my new grandbaby and the list goes on and on.

Country Place Senior Living is the most beautiful facility I have ever been in personally and I am so honored to be in this position. We have a wonderful, caring staff. I would not have it any other way. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones! Please call or come by for a tour and see for yourself what a wonderful community we have.

Thank you and have a blessed day!
