Hello. I’m Christi Ramsey, and I am the administrator here at Country Place Senior Living of Canton – Mulberry.
All my life my role model and teacher was my great grandmother. I grew up appreciating the knowledge and wisdom that comes from an elder generation. This gave me a love and respect for seniors as well as the compassion to work in geriatrics. About three years ago, I was blessed to embark on my journey to work for this amazing company. When I first started as activity director, I could see the benefit of working with a smaller community, which allowed me to connect to each of these seniors in a more personal manner. Over the years, I have continued to make deeper connections with the residents and the staff, and I was excited when I was promoted to my current role as administrator.
My personal goal for our building is to make everyone who lives here feel as though they are family. I take a lot of pride in building relationships with residents and their family members. Being able to create an environment that is relaxed and safe is critical to my goals for this building. It is an honor to help families make significant decisions about their loved ones, and be a resource to these families that give them some peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being taken care of with dignity and respect. I strive to treat each resident the way that I treated my own grandmother, and I hope the family members see me as part of the family.
Some of my interests are music, grandchildren, and crafting. Singing and playing guitar are a couple of my favorite things. Picking and grinning for our residents from time to time is so fun and a great way to connect. My favorite saying is “there is always something to be thankful for!” I strive to bring this attitude to my building, residents, and staff.
