Maintenance-free living allows resident to spend time how they wish without the burdens of home ownership.

A long-term care ombudsman helps residents of a nursing facility and residents of an assisted living facility resolve complaints. Help provided by an ombudsman is confidential and free of charge. To speak with an ombudsman, a person may call the toll-free number, 1-800-252-2412.

“We moved our dad to Mulberry almost a month ago. He is getting settled in and really like it there. The staff there is awesome! They treat the residents like family. They are very caring, yet professional. The new administrator, John Cox has really been courteous to my dad, always checking on him and stopping to chat with him. It is a beautiful facility, very homey and inviting.”

“So pleased with the care given our dad! Very clean, smells great, food is plentiful and varied. Large room with internet and cable and only steps away from dining room. They offer bible study, physical therapy and singing around the piano! Very good patient to staff ratio. He always gets help immediately when we pushes his help button. Only downside is not really much outdoor room to sit.”

Mulberry Residence Levels of Care

Country Place Senior Living offers a comfortable, quality lifestyle and three levels of care tailored to you or your loved one’s individual needs.

Level One

Includes the following services:

  • Three nutritionally balanced meals a day
  • Weekly housekeeping services
  • Personal laundry and linen services weekly
  • All utilities (excluding telephone)
  • Basic cable TV
  • All interior / exterior maintenance service
  • 24-hour emergency communication system
  • Resident Activity Program
  • Unlimited use of Residence and Community areas
  • Medication management for 10 or fewer medications
  • Coordination of scheduled transportation services twice a month within local area

Level Two

Includes all of level one plus any of the following services:

  • Housekeeping and laundry service twice a week
  • Bathing standby twice a week
  • Continence reminders
  • Medication management for 20 or fewer medications
  • Assistance with daily needs of dressing and grooming
  • Minimal assistance with oxygen
  • Assistance with Attends, TED hose, assistive devices
  • Two nightly safety checks
  • Assistance to and from activities as required
  • Occasional assistance with transfers
  • Meal reminders
  • Coordination of scheduled transportation services more than twice a month with local area

Level Three

Includes all of level one and two plus any of the following services:

  • Therapeutic diet, special dietary needs or requests
  • Nursing assistance with mobility
  • Housekeeping and laundry services more than twice a week
  • Full bathing assistance more than twice a week
  • Incontinence management program
  • Oxygen management
  • Frequent checks due to safety
  • Daily assistance with transfers
  • Assistance with eating due to limitations of mobility or dexterity
  • Adaptive and special activity support

My name is Laura McMillan. I have had the privilege of working with the elderly for over 18 years, and it has truly become my passion and purpose. As the Executive Director at Country Place Senior Living of Canton, I am dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and engaging environment where residents feel safe, valued, and at home. 

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work in many areas of senior care, gaining a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of older adults — as well as the importance of supporting their families. I believe that quality care comes from genuine compassion, strong communication, and teamwork, and I strive to lead by those values every day. I take great pride in building a community where residents, families, and staff all feel like part of one big family. Seeing our residents smile and thrive is what inspires me most. 

When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family and creating special memories together. Family means everything to me, and I bring that same sense of connection and care into everything I do here at Country Place. I look forward to serving you and your loved ones soon.
