Tammy Lenamond

Director of Operations

Hello. My name is Kim Nolley, Administrator for Country Place Senior Living in Jacksonville, TX.

I have been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 22 years, including 15 years as a Director of Rehab in skilled nursing facilities.  Other areas of specialty work were in long term acute care at Tyler Continue Care Hospital, home health and pediatrics.  However, my main calling is with our senior population.

I want to use my experience in making Country Place the best it could be for our seniors with various levels of engagement. My work with seniors has given me a knowledge about how to interact with them to push through some pain that physical therapy may cause with my knowing that on the other side there is relief. Although my current role does not require me to push my residents physically, there are days that I need to know how to engage with everyone on an individual level that will resonate with them and motivate them to participate with our residents and staff. After each day I can see each resident making so many new connections that they didn’t have when they lived alone or with people that did not have shared experiences that age often brings.

I know that no one ever wants to leave their home, but in my experience, waiting too late can be hard to recover from. Most residents find an immediate improvement within their moods and eating. It is amazing to see someone that was simply holding on start to thrive again with activity and new daily experiences. It is my goal to make Country Place be a family that facilitates the growth and love for our residents. I cannot wait to see how they blossom back into the parent that these families once knew and loved.

When I found out about the opening at Country Place I prayed over the job and asked God, if this is where He needs me to be, please bless this opportunity.  I was interviewed and the Lord placed me in my new career.  I am truly blessed daily by my job, and all of my amazing residents.  My mom always said, “if you love your job, you will never work a day in your life.”  That is where I am now and love every minute of being able to be a guest in the home of the residents at Country Place.  I look forward to meeting you and your family, and help by providing the care that is needed and deserved.

Daily blessings to all.
